Disclosure policy

Lemonade Lianne is a UK based personal blog run by Lianne Williams. If you have any queries about this disclosure policy you can contact me HERE.

I aim to be as transparent and honest as possible with the content and marketing of this website so I wish to state the following:

  • I buy most of the things featured or discussed on the website. I genuinely enjoy and care about what I share here.

  • If products or services are gifted, or I am paid to feature them, this will be disclosed at the earliest possible moment, as clearly and tastefully as possible. In these circumstances there will be a statement or hashtag clearly defining content as an advert or sponsored post.

  • I will NEVER lie or give false opinions or reviews on products, and I will ONLY feature relevant items or services that are of interest to me, or my readers. The whole purpose of this website is to give honest feedback on my experiences… not sell people junk. I don’t like it and you will never see it on my blog. Everything I recommend here is genuine.

  • You may notice statements at the beginning of blog posts which say ‘This post may contain affiliate links’. This means that within the blog post are links to other websites (usually Amazon) where you can buy products I’ve mentioned if you so wish. If you click on that link and purchase that item through that link, I receive a small commission. By buying through these links you help support the running of Lemonade Lianne.

  • I am a participant in the Amazon services LLC associates program, an advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to and affiliated sites.

Although it would be very easy for me to cut and paste a privacy policy and fill in the details without really caring, I wanted to explain how I collect and use your personal information as clearly and simply as possible because I think its important everyone understand what this all really means.

  • If you subscribe to my newsletter or subscribe to follow my blog posts you will also need to be aware of some other information regarding you personal information and privacy.

  • Once you have provided me with your email address, name and permission to email you through the two-factor authentication process, your details are stored on the MailerLite database where I the proceed to email you through.

  • MailerLite is an email marketing platform that allows me to collect large numbers of email addresses and email those people the information they’ve requested all at the same time. Through MailerLite I can also see who has opened those emails and how they’ve interacted with my email such as which links they’ve clicked on.

  • The two factor authentication process is a security process that ensures that all email addresses added to my mailing list have been done so willingly and it helps prevent the collection and sale of email address lists which often leads to unwanted ‘spam’. The first stage of authentication is entering your details into the subscription box and confirming you wish to subscribe. The second stage is confirming your subscription through the confirmation email which is then sent to your email address. If those two steps are not completed you are not subscribed and you will not be sent emails.

  • You are able to unsubscribe at any point, either by following the instructions at the bottom of the emails or by contacting me and I can remove you myself.

  • You are able to resubscribe at any point.

  • Annually I filter dormant subscribers and ask them whether or not they wish to keep receiving my emails. If they say no, they are removed from the database. If they say yes they are added to a ‘safe list’ and will continue to receive my emails. If they do not respond I take that as permission to delete their information from the database due to lack of activity.

  • Although I take great care in the retaining to privacy of my subscribers details, and I do not share that information with anyone, because the data is being stored with a third party, MailerLite, there is a chance if their security is breached that your data could be compromised. If this is the case or I receive warning of this, I will let my subscribers know immediately and provide them with any instructions from the email marketing service provider to help control the issue.
